How to paste names and grades from Excel or Google Sheets

Grading Assistant chrome extension allows users to easily paste names and grades from Microsoft Office Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, Apple Numbers, or any other software with a table view. This feature makes it easy to prepare students' data from different sources and transfer it into a supported gradebook via Grading Assistant.

First, to use this feature, you need to copy the names and grades from the table in Excel, Google Sheets, or other software. The names should be in the first column, and the grades should be in the second column.

Once you have copied the names and grades, open Grading Assistant, by clicking on the Chrome extension icon from the browser toolbar, click on the "Paste data from clipboard" button, and the names and grades will be pasted into Grading Assistant.

By default, when you paste data, the maximum grade is set to 100, but you can change it if needed.

Please note that when you append data from the table to existing data in Grading Assistant, the maximum grade of existing data should be equal to 100 to prevent mixing data from different sources with different scale systems.

This feature is designed to be simple and easy to use, but if you have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate to contact our support team. We are always happy to help and provide additional information to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident using our product.
